Acer introduced its latest consumer electronics and home appliances.
Foremost of these are Windows 10 devices consisting of the next generation Acer Switch 7 Black Edition, Swift 5, and Spin 5. Made possible by Acer’s Dual LiquidLoop fan-less cooling technology, the Acer Switch 7 Black Edition is the world’s first fanless 2-in-1 notebook that is equipped with 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics processor, and 13.5-inch IPS display; and weighs 1.15 kg. with the keyboard detached. Weighing less than 1 kg., the Acer Swift 5 is powered by 8th Generation Intel Core processor and has an eight-hour battery life, multi-touch FHD IPS touchscreen, backlit keyboard, and features Acer TrueHarmony with Dolby Audio Premium technology. Having 13-inch and 15-inch models, the Acer Spin 5 is packed with 8th Generation Intel Core processor, up to 16GB of DDR4 memory, up to 13 hours of battery life, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics for the 15-inch model, and features Acer TrueHarmony with Dolby Audio Premium technology.
Acer also unveiled the 23.8-inch Windows 10-based Aspire S24, its slimmest all-in-one desktop PC with 8th Generation Intel Core processor and optional Intel Optane memory, 178-degree Full HD IPS monitor, Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC (802.11ac 2×2 MIMO) technology, Acer TrueHarmony with Dolby Audio Premium, Acer ExaColor, BluelightShield and Flickerless technologies, and support wireless charging for Qi-enabled devices.
For gaming, Acer launched the Acer Windows 10-based Predator Orion 9000 series PC, Predator X35 curved monitor and Predator accessories. The Acer Predator Orion 9000 series gaming desktops feature an Intel Core i9 Extreme Edition processor with 18 cores and 36 threads, up to four-way AMD Radeon RX Vega graphics or two NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti graphics in SLI, and Liquid Cooling and Acer’s IceTunnel 2.0 for temperature control. The Acer Predator X35 curved monitor, on the other hand, is equipped with NVIDIA G-Sync, Acer HDR Ultra and a 200 Hz refresh rate.
The Predator accessories consist of Galea gaming headset which uses the Acer TrueHarmony 3D Soundscape technology, and the Cestus series of gaming mice which feature a dual switch design, allowing gamers to adjust the click resistance according to the game type they are playing. Other gaming device introduced include the convertible Windows 10-based Nitro 5 Spin notebook equipped with 8th Generation Intel Core processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics and GDDR5 VRAM, 15.6-inch FHD IPS display, and has a 10-hour battery life.
Acer also launched two new HDR-compatible projectors: the world’s smallest 4K UHD laser projector, the VL7860 for home use offers 3,840 x 2,160 resolution display with 8.3-megapixel on screen brought about by the XPR technology from Texas Instruments, and boast 1,500,000:1 DynamicBlack contrast for clear projections. The other projector is the Acer P8800 for large venues which provides an UltraHD 4K experience with up to 5,000 lumens and 1,200,000:1 contrast ratio.
The Acer Chromebook 15, which offers a 15.6-inch display, battery life of up to 12 hours and fan-less design, dual-core Intel Celeron and quad-core Intel Pentium processors, 32GB or 64GB of eMMC storage as well as 4GB or 8GB of RAM, and Intel Wireless-AC featuring 2×2 MIMO technology, was also introduced.
The company also unveiled two LTE-connected 360-degree cameras including the Acer Holo360 all-in-one camera that allows users to capture, view, edit, and share with just one device, and the Acer Vision360 cloud-connected in-car camera, with on-demand remote viewing and location-tracking from the device designed for peace-of-mind, and fun driving experiences.
Acer also announced pet care portfolio consisting of Pawbo iPuppyGo, a lightweight tracker that keeps tabs on pets’ activity levels and wellness; Pawbo WagTag, a cloud-connected collar for dogs that keeps track of their location and monitors the environment around them; and Pawbo Munch, a smart treat-dispenser that works with the Pawbo+ allowing pet owners to interact with their pets, whether at home or from afar.
