Epson eyes core business operations with new products

Digital imaging and printing solutions provider Epson has announced in this year’s Epson Solutions & Technology Convention new products and solutions designed to help meet the challenges faced by core business operations including training, marketing, finance, customer service, and logistics.

Companies are turning to trainings to engage staff and improve productivity but this was often hampered by challenges such as accommodating a more affordable large display in a small to mid-sized office; running out of paper or whiteboard space during discussions, providing immediate feedback and documentation of trainings and providing training to a larger group without incurring huge travel costs. For this scenario, Epson has EB-L1100U projector that can produce large, high performance display despite space constraints. And by tiling two units of Epson EB-696Ui interactive projectors, and enabling a whiteboard mode, the trainer can have a 170” interactive display. Once the discussion is completed, the presentation can be printed using the Epson WorkForce WF-5621 or saved directly into a USB drive.

For the marketing department where information may sometimes get lost in translation over different modes of communications and the need for additional time to be spent on reviewing and revising changes, Epson offers WF-7611 printer where annotations and changes can be directly printed for clear and easy reference. To provide an accurate color reproduction from screen to print, prior to production of marketing collaterals, Epson has SureColor SC-P7000 with color calibration utility tool to ensure accurate color reproduction. It also has SureColor SC-T7270 for large format prints.

Large amounts of paperwork would mean huge printing costs for the Finance department. As these documents involve more time to scan, archive, locate and track inventory and assets, Epson can help in this scenario with its print solution using a combination of WF-R8591, Epson Device Admin and Epson Print Admin. The integration of Epson V39, DS-530, and Flatbed dock can help users scan different types of media, for an archiving solution.

Long waiting time with manual queue process and poor customer service hamper operations in the Customer Service department. For these challenges, Epson has TM-m30 which prints queue tickets. With a camera sensor and digital signage display, the Epson EB-595WI can display queue numbers. Customer service staff can print quotations and invoices, scan documents and archive at the same time with the Epson M200 Ink Tank System printer; and receipts can be printed with the TM-T82 receipt printer. Customers can view the full range of products and services available with the use of Moverio BT-300 augmented reality smart glasses.

For the Logistics department, on the other hand, Epson has its ColorWorks C7510G label printer to print a mixed variety of customized packaging color labels; the ColorWorks C3510 that can print shipping labels color-coded carton box labels; the LabelWorks LW-Z900FK which is suited for in-house applications that range from cable-wrap to heat-shrink tubes to magnetic labels with barcodes. It also offers WorkForce WF-100 portable inkjet printer to easily print invoices and documents anywhere, anytime. A worker can get instant pick list and navigation information with the use of the Moverio BT-2000.
