After releasing the PIXMA Ink Efficient G series Refillable Ink Tank Printers in 2015, Canon Marketing (Philippines), Inc. (CMPI) has introduced the latest addition to the family: PIXMA Ink Efficient G4000 with Wi-Fi & fax, an upgrade to the G-series printers with its integrated ink tank design.
A full set of ink bottles using genuine Canon inks can print up to 6,000 pages of monochrome documents, and 7,000 pages of color documents. The printer makes full borderless printouts on plain paper or glossy photo papers up to A4 size. With the Canon Hybrid Ink System that combines the benefits of pigment black ink and color dye inks, the printer delivers presentation-ready documents and vibrant photos.
The PIXMA Ink Efficient G4000 integrates the ink tanks within the printer body. It displays a compact chassis that allows users to observe remaining ink levels. Printer set-up for first-time use takes only six minutes, including the ink charging process. This presents time savings to getting the printer ready for operation. Users can also expect a easier printer set-up in a wireless environment thanks to the guided instructions displayed on the 2-line text LCD display. The printer also supports direct wireless connectivity so users can connect and print or scan by using just their mobile devices, without a wireless router.
The PIXMA Ink Efficient G4000 ink bottles open easily, while unused ink is stored without worry of leakage with the screw-down cap. The ink bottle tips are also designed to fit the printer ink tank openings, ensuring easy ink flow during ink refills, and preventing unintended splatter and mess.
An integrated Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) allows users to feed up to 20 sheets of multi-page document originals to be reproduced as hard copies or as digital copies in PDF or JPEG format. With the new Document Removal Reminder function, an audio alert and a notification on the LCD display will be triggered when a document is detected on the scanner glass following a minute after the last operation, minimizing the possibility that confidential documents are seen by unintended parties. Original ID card size output after scanning and copying is made possible with the new ID Card Copy feature. For businesses that handle transactions involving copies of ID cards for verification purposes, this makes it easy to make duplicates, file and archive.
The PIXMA Ink Efficient G4000 communicates with mobile devices such as Apple iPhones, iPads and MacBooks via AirPrint. The Canon Print Service plugin for Android OS offers similar driverless printing functionality for phones and tablets running Android OS. The cloud printing feature allows documents and photos to be printed directly from local device memory using the Canon Print Inkjet/ SELPHY mobile app for iOS and Android OS devices, or from social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, or file storage services such as Dropbox and Google Drive via the Canon PIXMA Cloud Link service. Wireless printing requires a working network with wireless 802.11 b/g/n capability. Wireless performance may vary based on terrain and distance between the printer and wireless network clients.
