HP Philippines introduced the OMEN by HP.
Intended for performance gamers, the OMEN by HP laptop, in 15” and 17” iterations, has Intel Core i7-6700 that offers 16GB DDR4 RAM, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965m (4GB DDR5 dedicated) graphics. It also has a solid-state PCIe 128GB SSD storage and a 1TB hard drive, allowing for multi-tasking across applications with its storage capacity up to 17 times faster than traditional hard drives.
According to Kris Seville, PC Business Unit Manager at HP Philippines, OMEN by HP was the result of the consolidation of three HP brands – HP ENVY Phoenix, HP OMEN, and HP Pavilion Gaming.
Made up of faux carbon fiber, the laptop’s frame is accented with a red Voodoo logo on the device’s cover.
The laptop has a Dragon Red backlit keyboard mechanism to enhance viewing even in low-light environments. The device also has a slimmer frame that is less than 30mm.
For better audio experience, OMEN by HP laptop features Bang and Olufsen dual or quad high definition speakers, and HP Audio Boost. These are complemented by accessories, such as HP X9000 OMEN mouse, OMEN Headset and the OMEN gaming backpack.
The laptop also offers power supply that uses a thermal solution structure that supports fast-charging of up to 90% in 90 minutes, and can last up to 10 hours with a 62Whr battery pack.
Meanwhile, the OMEN by HP desktops consist of OMEN X Desktop Cube and OMEN Tower Desktop that are said to be certified for Virtual Reality (VR) system. Sporting a cube design that separates components into different chambers to assist its cooling system, the OMEN X desktop has easy-to-swap hard drive compartments, and dual graphics card capability. On the other hand, the OMEN Tower desktop has a signature Vertical ID and LED light control
Prices for OMEN by HP laptops range from P50,000 to P80,000 while prices for OMEN by HP desktops range from P79,000 to P100,000.
