Property portal Property24 and OLX partnered to establish a real estate platform. Under the collaboration, there would be a captured point for all property listings that come into both Property24 and OLX. All packages that Property24 signed up with their clients or sellers will be with Property24 and will go to OLX, and listings will appear on both platforms.
With the Property24 and OLX partnership, their portal is expected to become the country’s biggest as there will be 2.8-million visits on both platforms over 10 pages per visit, and 26-million property listing views in a month.
“This synergy is definitely a step in the right direction,” said Steve Santos, country manager at Property24. “Our data shows a dramatic increase in our online community since we launched Property24 in 2014. This is reflective of the positive trend that the local real estate sector has continued to experience, and we are optimistic that this will continue in the next few years.”
For Giancarlo Bonsel, GM at OLX, combining OLX and Property24 brings a lot of people together to create a community of buyers and sellers that can look everything about real estate or properties for a win-win exchange. “As property is one of the biggest commodities found on our platform, the synergy can help property agents and developers generate stronger leads that can help them meet their business needs. Through this, we’re giving breadth and security to both buyers and sellers, and in return, we enhance the OLX business, making it a win-win exchange. Its synergy definitely exceeds the sum of its parts,” said Bonsel.
Santos said the value proposition for Property24 is that if one goes to the platform and look for a very specific thing, one can then get the match for the property requirements. For OLX, it is the sheer volume of listings in it.
“If you put the two together, you have quality listings owing to OLX which has the reach, scale and volume. It becomes very attractive for someone who is in the business community to look on both platforms to amplify your database and get your listings out to more people,” Santos ended.
