SafeZone, a service that enables brands to reach more customers with access to mobile apps and sites at no data cost, has announced partnership with some of the country’s known brands to boost its value proposition for the benefit of both enterprises and customers alike.
Launched by PLDT’s digital unit, Voyager Innovations Inc., SafeZone’s free access to its partner apps and sites is initially available to all Smart subscribers. For Sun Cellular subscribers, free access will be available soon. Users must have P1 load to access the apps and sites.
“SafeZone presents a real win-win scenario for businesses and consumers alike,” said Orlando B. Vea, president of Voyager Innovations. “By offering free access to businesses’ apps and sites, SafeZone enhances the value proposition of brands to their customers, so their users are better served and companies are more efficient. This platform will open the door so that more companies will be able to take advantage of this kind of powerful partnership.”
Currently, SafeZone’s partners consist of brands across industries including entertainment, online commerce, travel, transportation, social and communication, finance, and news. These are Agoda, Babble, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Carmudi, Eat Bulaga Mobile, Food Panda, GameX, Inquirer, Interaksyon, Lamudi, MePay Swipe, Philippine Airlines, PhilStar.com, Pinoy Hoops, SafeZone Social, Skyscanner, Spinnr, Takatack, Tripda, Yahoo! ZafeZone is looking at about a hundred partners this year. With the service, partners are assured of seven times more visitors to their sites.
Consumers can also access their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram feeds within ZafeZone free of charge. Just link their social networking accounts through the SafeZone Social page in order to post, like, tweet, favorite, and comment on social media posts.
“With growing smartphone penetration in the Philippines, more users are now accessing online services via their mobile phones. This presents an opportunity for businesses to reach out to their customers wherever they are through their smartphones, and be closer to them than ever before,” said Benjie Fernandez, COO of Voyager Innovations.
“Through SafeZone, businesses can provide a mobile service that is convenient and easily accessible to users, and more importantly, it requires no cost on the part of their customers,” Fernandez added.
To get started with SafeZone, visit www.safezone.ph or download the mobile app in the Google Play Store to see a list of partner apps and sites that they can access without additional data charges.
Once in Safezone, users will have to switch “Load Protect” on to ensure they do not get charged for accessing other mobile apps and sites that are not part of SafeZone.
When Load Protect is turned on, users will not be charged the standard P5 for 15 minutes of usage when hey access SafeZone’s partner apps and sites.
