IPC now offers traditional payment options for its cloud services

Dragonpay is now available as a payment option on IPC’s cloud.com.ph online registration page along with options for payment via major credit cards.

Cloud services provider and data center operator IP Converge Data Services, Inc. has added Dragonpay as one of its payment modes on its cloud services web portal, cloud.com.ph. The portal is the first merchant of its kind in the Philippines to allow over-the-counter cash payments at Dragonpay partner establishments for cloud infrastructure service subscriptions.

Dragonpay is available as a payment option on the cloud.com.ph online registration page along with options for payment via major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, JCB and American Express.

Launched in 2012, cloud.com.ph is likewise the first cloud services web portal in the country to accept online payments via credit card.

Dragonpay allows IPC’s customers on cloud.com.ph to pay through traditional payment establishments such as SM Payments, Bayad Center branches and its partners – Robinsons Department Stores and Supermarkets, LBC, and Western Union outlets, among others. There is also an option to do fund transfers overbanking facilities offered by Dragonpay’s major partner banks.

“We’re making cloud services more accessible to Filipino entrepreneurs, freelancers, and SMEs by working with a fellow Filipino company with a proven track record in eCommerce. We want to give our clients various channels to pay for the services that they need,” said IPC Director for Product Management and Marketing, Niño Valmonte. “Even IT or computer science students that temporarily need servers to test and run applications they built in school will be able to take advantage of our easy modes of payment and usage-based billing.”

IPC’s cloud.com.ph offers enterprise IT resources via a single web portal made accessible anytime, anywhere, over the Internet. With this recent development, it is now the first online cloud facility to give this level of consumer freedom in terms of payment.

“Those who don’t have a credit card or have opted not to use it, now have other means of subscribing. Even those who are in the provinces with limited bank branches have more options now due to Dragonpay’s extensive bank partnerships,” Valmonte added.

Robertson Chiang, Dragonpay Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer said, “This is a significant milestone for Dragonpay as IPC is the first and only cloud services provider on our merchant list. We consider this a good opportunity to show that our e-payment services can benefit just about any industry.”

“We aim to propagate the use of cloud computing among Philippine enterprises as we believe it to soon become the standard by which businesses will operate in the near future. By making cloud services accessible to Filipino business organizations through Dragonpay, we are brought closer to our goal. This is IPC’s cloud-vocacy,” said Valmonte.
