Xiaomi’s Mi 3 handset now available with a prepaid bundle from Globe

Chinese mobile technology company Xiaomi has partnered with Globe Telecom for the Mi 3 handset which will now be available with a Globe prepaid bundle, and soon, its suite of customizable postpaid plans.

Chinese mobile technology company Xiaomi has partnered with Globe Telecom for the Mi 3 handset which will now be available with a Globe prepaid bundle, and soon, on postpaid plans.

Starting July 16, customers purchasing Mi 3 via www.mi.com/ph will get a free Globe Prepaid SIM and free 50MB of mobile data valid for 30 days. To avail of the free mobile data, customers can text FREE1MPS99 to 8888 after SIM activation.

Launched in 2010, Xiaomi gained steady following in Asia for its business model focusing on e-commerce. Xiaomi recently announced first half year sales of 26.1 million phones, with a revenue of 33 billion RMB. This is 271% growth on phone sold, and 149% growth on revenue compare to first half of 2013. In the last year the company has expanded its business from China to nearby markets such as Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and recently, the Philippines.

At Php10,599, Mi 3 boasts of a 5-inch full HD IPS display, 2.3GHz quad-core CPU, 13 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, and 16GB internal storage. Xiaomi has 7 service centers across the Philippines, 53 convenient drop-off locations, and dedicated customer support hotline available 9am-6pm daily.
