Samsung introduces two new tablets aimed at busy people

Samsung Electronics Co. has introduced two new tablets aimed at busy professionals: the 12.2-inch Galaxy NotePRO and the 8.4-inch Galaxy TabPRO.

Samsung Electronics Co. has introduced two new tablets aimed at the “creative, dynamic and progressive individual”: the 12.2-inch Galaxy NotePRO and the 8.4-inch Galaxy TabPRO.

Running on an Android 4.4 (KitKat), the two new tablets feature the world’s first 12.2-inch WQXGA Widescreen (16:10) display, offering 2560×1600 resolution with more than 4 million pixels.

Both tablets also contain a quad-core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, and 2GB of RAM. The Galaxy NotePRO has a 9500mAh battery pack, while the TabPRO features a 4800mAh battery pack.

A personalized Magazine UX, specifically optimized for a large screen, allows users to further tailor their Galaxy tablet experience for their own needs. The UX enables them to organize their favorite content in an easy-to-use dashboard with automatic feed or news updates.

The Galaxy NotePro’s multi-window feature enables users to split the screen up into four different windows and a virtual keyboard provides them with enough space to type comfortably.

The PRO Series can also act as extension of one’s desktop. With the Remote PC features, one is able to access their desktop from a PRO tablet wherever they may be.

The Samsung S Pen included with the Galaxy NotePRO delivers a more responsive, productive and overall efficient tablet experience with access to features such as Action Memo, Scrapbook, Screen Write and S Finder. In addition, Pen Window enables users to simply draw a window of any size on the screen, and instantly access unique in-application features such as YouTube or a calculator.

The Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO also come pre-loaded with Cisco WebEx Meetings platform. And now for the first time on Android tablets, users can share anything on their screen as well as starting a WebEx meeting from contact list. Samsung e-Meeting provides collaboration capabilities by giving users the ability to share content during a meeting without having to access a central server or network.

With the launch of the PRO Series, Samsung also introduces Hancome Office, an application intended for creating office documents. Hancom Office on the PRO Series’ tablets allows users to create, edit and access documents, spreadsheets and presentations on the go. The Hancom Office Suite is available as a free download from the Samsung Apps Store.
