SAS recently announced the 1st SAS Philippines Academic Analytics Conference to be held on February 13. SAS hopes to discover and shape talented minds from their pool of Academic Partners to become the country’s next generation professionals and entrepreneurs.

The conference will allow students and faculty members, as well as business professionals to exchange knowledge and insights on the use of Analytics in all areas of businesses and its impact on the country.

Managing today’s explosion of big data is a challenge. But it also provides new opportunities and powerful insights for those who know how to use it. Through the SAS Global Forum, the participants can learn more about SAS, Analytics, and its application, opening new doors and tapping the nation’s untapped talents.

The conference and competition are open to all undergraduate students and faculty members from the 2013 SAS Academic Partner Institutions including Asia Pacific College, Asian College of Technology, De La Salle Health Sciences, De La Salle University, Mapua Institute of Technology, UP School of Statistics, UP Los Banos Institute of Statistics, University of the East, and University of Sto. Tomas.

“We hope to discover fresh perspectives and new ways of using Analytics towards national development. We believe that young minds, if nurtured correctly and trained properly can really lead this country towards progress,” Maxie Garin, Country Operations Director of SAS Philippines.

The SAS Academic Analytics Conference is part of the SAS Academic Program to bridge the gap between academia and business.
