Globe, Smart soon to offer new iPads

Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) and Globe Telecom have announced they will offer iPad Air with Wi-Fi + Cellular and iPad mini with Retina display with Wi-Fi + Cellular in the Philippines soon.

Globe Telecom and Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) have announced they will offer iPad Air with Wi-Fi + Cellular and iPad mini with Retina display with Wi-Fi + Cellular in the Philippines soon.

While Smart did not announce a launch date, Globe said it will offer the new iPads starting December 19, 2013.

Both companies state they will offer the new iPads with a range of data plans that will allow customers to connect to their fast Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks with speeds up to 42mbps.
