Simpler, more secure bill payments with Smart’s auto debit arrangement

With ADA, a customer’s monthly bill is automatically charged to their enrolled debit or credit card on its due date, ensuring that their telco account stays up to date without need for lining up or manually keeping track of payment reminders.

Smart Communications, Inc (Smart) is urging its postpaid customers to shift to auto debit arrangement (ADA), offering a secure and convenient way to settle monthly bills without the need for store visits or manual payments.
With ADA, a customer’s monthly bill is automatically charged to their enrolled debit or credit card on its due date, ensuring that their telco account stays up to date without need for lining up or manually keeping track of payment reminders.

“Today, 12% of Smart Postpaid customers continue to visit stores to pay their bills in cash or with their card, despite having more seamless digital options available. ADA aims to give these customers a better, more effortless experience,” said Brenda Dichoso, FVP and Head of Customer Experience at Smart.

“By automating payments through secure bank systems, we’re giving our customers a smoother, worry-free way to manage their accounts. This is part of our commitment to level up everyday interactions and deliver a more seamless Smart experience,” she added.

ADA transactions are processed through trusted bank systems and card networks, following strict verification protocols designed to safeguard customer data. This ensures that payments are convenient while being protected by industry-standard security measures.

For Smart, wider adoption of ADA also helps streamline payment channels and drive efficiency as the company continues enhancing digital payment journeys, with a focus on improving customer convenience through enabling more modern, intuitive ways for subscribers to manage their accounts.

Smart customers using credit or debit cards for in store payments are encouraged to enroll ADA via one of two ways:
• Through their bank.
• By visiting any Smart Store.

Enrollment is simple, and once set up, customers can enjoy a hassle free, always on time payment experience every month.
