The summit, themed “Reinventing Asian Telecoms: Building the AI-Ready, Energy-Efficient, Multi-Network Digital Future,” brought together regional telecom executives and industry experts to explore next-generation networks, AI readiness, hybrid satellite-terrestrial solutions, private networks, and edge connectivity.
Speaking at the summit, Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz emphasized that connectivity in the Philippines is a critical infrastructure. “In an archipelago of over 7,600 islands, exposed to typhoons, floods, earthquakes, and rapid urban growth, networks must perform reliably where and when people need them,” Cruz said. “Our guiding principles are resilience, inclusion, intelligence, and quality. A milestone in this approach is the Direct-to-Cell partnership with Starlink, the first in Southeast Asia, integrating low-earth orbit satellite technology into a national network. This expands coverage to remote and disaster-prone areas, ensuring critical services remain accessible when they matter most.

Globe’s low-latency, high-throughput, and redundant networks, combined with AI-driven monitoring and disaster-ready deployments like Network-in-a-Box and Cell-on-Wheels, ensure students can learn without interruptions, businesses operate reliably, and emergency responders communicate effectively.
