TP celebrates Bacolaodiat Festival with Bacolod’s Filipino-Chinese community

Organized by the local government and the Filipino-Chinese community of Bacolod, the three-day Bacolaodiat Festival has become one of the city’s most anticipated cultural events featuring traditional performances, food fairs and corporate wig mo booths, and cultural exhibits that celebrate prosperity, unity, and goodwill.

TP in the Philippines (formerly Teleperformance), a leader in digital business services, continues to showcase its strong commitment to cultural inclusion and community engagement with its recent support of the annual Bacolaodiat Festival. The vibrant celebration, which marked the Chinese New Year, brought together thousands of locals and visitors in a colorful showcase of Filipino-Chinese heritage, traditions, and shared history right in the heart of Bacolod.
Building on its successful participation last year, TP elevated its presence in this year’s festivities by setting up interactive and immersive experience booths. These installations were designed to engage festivalgoers through culturally-inspired visuals, activities, and storytelling elements that highlighted the significance of the Chinese New Year.
“Bacolod has been one of TP’s key hubs in the Philippines for many years, and our presence at the Bacolaodiat Festival reflects our deep roots in the city. We invested in this celebration not only to honor its rich cultural heritage, but to reaffirm our long-term commitment to a community that has played a vital role in our growth, bringing together tradition and innovation in a way that reflects who we are today,” said TP in the Philippines Senior Marketing Manager Levi Trio.
Guests were invited to a digital challenge matching the 12 Chinese Zodiac signs in a race against the clock with the Interactive Zodiac Match Game, while some had their fortunes read at the tech-forward “Fortune & Frosting” Virtual Tarot Reading booth. Lucky players were also able to win exclusive TP merchandise in red envelopes at the Virtual Lucky Ang Pau.
From photo-worthy installations inspired by Chinese symbols of luck and abundance to interactive games and community activities, TP’s booths became a popular stop throughout the celebration, drawing families, young professionals, and cultural enthusiasts alike.
TP’s continued support of the Bacolaodiat Festival underscores the organization’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and celebrating diversity across the communities where it operates. TP’s Bacolod site has been operating since 2006 and has since provided livelihood opportunities to over thousands of locals and nearby regions for two decades.
“By actively participating in local cultural events, we at TP believe in honoring traditions and cultural identities which strengthen community ties and promote mutual respect. As the Bacolaodiat Festival continues to grow in scale and significance, TP in the Philippines remains committed to celebrating milestones alongside the communities we serve. Through these initiatives that honor heritage, promote inclusion, and bring people together, we at TP reinforce our ideals of being not just an employer, but a true community partner in Bacolod,” said TP in the Philippines Chief People Officer Jeffrey Johnson.
