Samsung is again attacking the midrange smartphone market with new Galaxy A series phones\u2014 the A3, A5, and A7\u2014that are ultra slim and feature an all-metal unibody.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Galaxy A5 is 6.7 mm thin, while the Galaxy A3 comes at 6.9mm. Both devices feature a refined full metal unibody design. The two also feature Super AMOLED display and Adaptive Display technology.<\/p>\n

Powered by a Quad Core 1.2GHz processor, the phones with 16GB internal memory and a micro SD slot that supports up to 64GB of external memory. The A5 has 2GB RAM while the A3 has 1GB.<\/p>\n

The two phones are dual-SIM with only one of the SIMs supporting LTE.<\/p>\n

The A5\u2019s rear camera is 13MP AF with LED flash while the A3 has 8MP AF with LED Flash. The front camera of both models is 5MP.<\/p>\n

Battery power is 1,900 mAh for A3 and 2, 300 mAh for A5.<\/p>\n

Both phones will be available this month and have a suggested retail price of Php16,990 (A3) and Php19,990 (A5).<\/p>\n

Galaxy A7 packs bigger screen, more processing power<\/strong><\/p>\n

The largest of the three, the A7 is a phablet that features a 5.5-inch high-definition AMOLED display and is only 6.3 mm thick, thinner than the A3 and A5. It packs more computing power as it combines two separate quad-core processors. In addition, it has a larger battery at 2,600 mAh.<\/p>\n

Like the other two phones, the A7 runs Android 4.4, has 4G LTE connectivity, and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Inside is 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a microSD card slot to add more memory.<\/p>\n

The A7 features a hybrid Dual-SIM, which means the second SIM slot can also be used as a microSD card slot.<\/p>\n

Available in February, the A7 has an SRP of Php24,990.<\/p>\n
