Fiber broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions, Inc. posted strong growth in the first quarter of 2026, fueled by rapid expansion in prepaid fiber internet adoption.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The company posted consolidated revenues amounting to PhP11.2-billion for the quarter as its total subscriber base climbed to 3.09-million. The increase was driven largely by the rising demand for more affordable, flexible connectivity options across the Philippines.<\/p>\n

Surf2Sawa, the company\u2019s prepaid fiber offering, was its key engine of growth when its subscriber base grew 86.7% year-on-year (YoY) to reach 674,000 users. This performance highlights how prepaid fiber is reshaping broadband adoption in the market.<\/p>\n

Dennis Uy, Converge co-founder and CEO, said the company is intensifying its fiber expansion, particulary in Visayas and Mindanao, while strengthening its national digital infrastructure to support cloud and data-heavy services for both consumers and enterprise clients.<\/p>\n

Steady performance was also reported in the company\u2019s enterprise segment with revenues increasing 16% YoY to PhP2-billion during the quarter, supported by increased demand for digital connectivity solutions from businesses.<\/p>\n

Converge highlighted its completion of a future-ready national digital infrastructure, which includes fiber backbone expansion, subsea cable systems, satellite networks, cable landing stations, and scalable data centers\u2014positioning the Philippines as a stronger node in the global digital economy.<\/p>\n

The first quarter 2026 also saw Converge earning PhP3.02-billion in net income, with EBITDA growing 3.3% to PhP6.9-billion and maintaining a strong 61.8% margin. Return on invested capital (ROIC) stood at 15.6%.<\/p>\n

Converge president and co-founder\u00a0Maria Grace Uy\u00a0emphasized resilience amid economic uncertainty, noting ongoing improvements in network performance and customer support efficiency.<\/p>\n

Chief finance officer\u00a0Robert Yu\u00a0said capital expenditures of \u20b12.9 billion for the quarter will support continued network expansion and readiness for future demand, with full-year capital expenditures (CAPEX) guidance maintained at \u20b118 billion to \u20b123 billion.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, chief operations officer\u00a0Benjamin Azada\u00a0reported improvements in outage frequency, repair speed, and customer response times as the company invests in proactive network maintenance.<\/p>\n

The fiber broadband provider also reaffirmed its leadership in broadband performance after securing multiple Ookla awards, including Fastest Fixed Network and Best Fixed Network in the second half of 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
