They blend easily into everyday life, catching people off guard in moments when they least expect it.<\/p>\n<p>Through SCAMpaign, one of the key education initiatives under CX Caravan, Smart is helping communities build simple but important habits of caution \u2014 never sharing personal information, avoiding unfamiliar numbers, and thinking twice before clicking suspicious links.<\/p>\n<p>Filipino senior citizens are becoming frequent targets of scams, as fraudsters increasingly package deception in ways that appear credible at first glance.<\/p>\n<p>For many retirees, a mobile phone is more than a device \u2014 it\u2019s how they manage finances, stay connected with loved ones, and access essential services. Protecting themselves online has become part of protecting daily life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis kind of session really helps people like us,\u201d Barreso said. \u201cIt gives us the confidence to pause, think twice, and protect ourselves before we act.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That pause \u2014 that moment of second thought \u2014 is what makes the difference.<\/p>\n<p>Kristine Generalao, AVP for Customer Experience at Smart Communications, underscored why efforts like SCAMpaign matter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDigital trust is now a core part of customer experience.
