That\u2019s why we say \u201cfirst impressions last\u201d. Good or not, we base our liking (or hating) of something on what we see first. Perspectives could change, yes, but impressions are made at first meetings.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Which is why it\u2019s good we weren\u2019t disappointed when we first got our hands on the nubia V80 Max.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?height=476&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freel%2F1386933553114252%2F&amp;show_text=false&amp;width=267&amp;t=0\" width=\"267\" height=\"476\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Though it has a 6.9-inch HD+ screen, this unit is actually light; meaning, holding this somewhat thin unit won\u2019t tire the hand that easily. It helps, too, that even if the unit seems \u201cboxy\u201d, its edges aren\u2019t disturbingly squarish. This helps in the comfy gripping of nubia V80 Max.<\/p>\n<p>We got the \u201cSky Cyan\u201d color variant (which is, basically, baby blue), and it looks\u2026 fresh, even if the front screen can be a handprint magnet.<\/p>\n<p>All the buttons are where they\u2019re supposed to be \u2013 e.g. power button that\u2019s also a fingerprint scanner at the right side, along with the volume control buttons; and nano-SIM and memory card tray is at the left side. A must-mention is the .5mm headphone port at the bottom of the unit, emphasizing the return of the wired accessories.<\/p>\n<p>This may just be a quick look, but we turned on the nubia V80 Max anyway. And there were some observations:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Setting up was fast<\/li>\n<li>Among the first thing you\u2019d notice is the brightness\u2026 this one\u2019s bright (!)<\/li>\n<li>The phone\u2019s lower part bezel is somewhat thick; it was, at least, noticeable when we turned on the phone, and then just forgotten when we started using already<\/li>\n<li>The screen was crisp (1640\u00d7720), so that details were apparent\/not pixelated<\/li>\n<li>No lags were noticed while navigating the phone<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>An in-depth look is needed, obviously. We\u2019ll do that, too.
