However, building long-term financial confidence can be challenging when savings and planning take a backseat to everyday needs.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To help address this, Maya, the Philippines\u2019 #1 all-in-one fintech platform, joined the Financial Literacy and Digital Adoption Program for the OFW Community, organized by FintechAlliance.PH, in coordination with the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong, under the leadership of Consul General Romulo Victor M. Israel Jr.<\/p>\n<p>Participants learned practical ways to strengthen their financial health\u2014from\u00a0digital savings and responsible credit use to remittance management and\u00a0scam\u00a0prevention\u2014all aligned with Maya\u2019s\u00a0Financial\u00a0Fitness (FinFit)\u00a0Program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want our\u00a0<em>kababayans<\/em>\u00a0in Hong Kong to feel that banking and payments are not an extra burden\u2014it\u2019s an ally in their journey,\u201d said\u00a0Toff Rada, Maya Head of Corporate Affairs. \u201cThrough high engagement banking, digital savings, responsible credit\u00a0tools, and clearer financial habits,\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0helping OFWs turn hard-earned income into long-term confidence and stability.<\/p>\n<p>Held alongside the Hong Kong FinTech Festival 2025, the session highlighted how fintechs and digital banks are promoting inclusion and financial well-being for Filipinos both at home and abroad.
