With over 8.2 million bank customers and \u20b1152 billion in\u00a0cumulative\u00a0loan disbursements as of end-June 2025, Maya\u2019s<\/p>\n<p>AI models analyze thousands of behavioral and transactional signals to deliver instant credit decisions and proactive fraud protection. The system now processes tens of thousands of loan applications daily and has significantly lowered default rates since the bank\u2019s launch in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>According to the\u00a0Bangko\u00a0Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Financial Inclusion Survey 2021, only 4% of adults with loans borrowed from banks, while 57% relied on informal sources\u2014underscoring the credit gap Maya aims to address through AI-powered\u00a0lending.<\/p>\n<p>AI helps us design credit for inclusion, not exclusion,\u201d\u00a0Lo added.\u00a0\u201cIt allows us to extend opportunities responsibly \u2014 making financial health part of everyday life, not a privilege for a few.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong FinTech Week 2025, held in collaboration with\u00a0InvestHK\u00a0and\u00a0StartmeupHK, gathered over 30,000 attendees and global speakers from organizations including HSBC, Ant Group, Mastercard, and Maya.
