Maya, the country\u2019s leading all-in-one fintech platform and No. 1 digital bank, is extending its partnership with the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) through its support for Batang Pinoy 2025, the country\u2019s premier grassroots sports program for young athletes.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Building on its earlier collaboration with PSC to modernize sports governance and promote financial access, Maya will support the event by helping participants easily onboard to their own financial accounts, introducing them to simple and secure digital banking tools that can support their everyday needs.<\/p>\n

Strengthening Grassroots Sports<\/strong><\/p>\n

The partnership builds on PSC and Maya\u2019s earlier collaboration to digitalize allowance distribution for national athletes\u2014a significant upgrade from traditional manual disbursements. By moving to digital platforms, athletes no longer have to line up for their allowances, making the process faster, more secure, and laying the groundwork for future integrations to channel more athlete support.<\/p>\n

It also gives athletes a guided introduction to managing their own financial accounts, supporting PSC\u2019s vision of strengthening athlete welfare both on and off the field. This kind of digital foundation is crucial for enabling future programs that make financial literacy and access a core part of athlete development.<\/p>\n

Launched in 1998, Batang Pinoy is PSC\u2019s flagship grassroots sports program aimed at inclusive participation, giving opportunities to out-of-school youth and marginalized sectors. It emphasizes both athletic development and values formation\u2014such as discipline, hard work, camaraderie and sportsmanship.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s edition of Batang Pinoy will be held in General Santos City from October 25 to 30, bringing together more than 15,000 young athletes from across the country to compete in 27 sports disciplines, from aquatics and athletics to martial arts and team sports.<\/p>\n

Continuing Partnership for Sports<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maya and PSC are committed to working together to bring financial access and digital tools closer to the sports community.
