This was made in collaboration with its managed service provider Ravenous Communications Inc.

Tabaco City, a 4th-class component city, and Irosin, a 2nd-class municipality, represent communities that are growing but still catching up when it comes to digital access and infrastructure.

Converge CEO and Co-Founder Dennis Anthony Uy personally attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Tabaco Business Center, and at the same time, engaged with government officials to discuss connectivity service improvements in Albay.

“Building our presence here in Bicol took us some time, since we came all the way from Pasig. We incorporated a lot of redundancy to protect our customers against incidents and fiber cuts. We’ve enhanced our network’s durability to ensure all nodes are secure,” said Uy during the launching event.

“We’re building infrastructure in places that need it most, and we are making sure that people in towns like Irosin and Tabaco get the same opportunities as those in big cities. That’s what we are doing now because I want to ensure that every household has access to reliable connectivity, including those in remote barangays, islands, and mountainous areas,” he added.

These new customer hubs facilitate different transactions for existing customers such as bills payment, technical issues reporting, bills upgrade, and repair requests, among others. Potential customers, meanwhile, may also visit these customer hubs for service inquiries and application processing.

The said service centers are among the first to feature the new Converge logo and branding, which reflect the company’s transformation into a more innovative and customer-centric technology provider.

Ravenous Communications Inc. CEO Timothy Ordinario noted that Converge now already has 10 business centers across Bicol, catering to small and medium enterprises, postpaid, and prepaid subscribers.

“While the direction of Dennis is to leave no one behind, our battle cry in Ravenous is we will bring services closer to the people,” Ordinario said.

Prior to the launch of Tabaco Business Center, customers from the northern part of Albay had to travel approximately 45 minutes to Legazpi City to visit the nearest Converge business center. Now, residents of Tabaco and nearby towns can conveniently access Converge services right in their area.

“We’re committed to expanding access to homes across the entire Bicol region, including Legazpi, Naga, Camarines, and Masbate,” Uy said.

Additionally, Converge is already in talks with the municipal government of Catanduanes to seek ways how it can serve the thousands of households in need of reliable connectivity services.

Converge launched new customer hubs in Irosin, Sorsogon and Tabaco City, Albay, to bring accessible customer support to areas that are often underserved.
