{"id":60044,"date":"2023-11-24T14:03:52","date_gmt":"2023-11-24T06:03:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/?p=60044"},"modified":"2023-11-24T14:03:54","modified_gmt":"2023-11-24T06:03:54","slug":"toyota-partners-with-santa-rosa-and-pasay-cities-for-free-community-shuttle-eases-commuting-with-an-app","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/2023\/11\/24\/toyota-partners-with-santa-rosa-and-pasay-cities-for-free-community-shuttle-eases-commuting-with-an-app\/","title":{"rendered":"Toyota partners with Santa Rosa and Pasay cities for free community shuttle, eases commuting with an app"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation partners with the City Government of Santa Rosa and City Government of Pasay for the Toyota Community Shuttle (TCS) \u2013 a free on-demand, shared transportation service, which will be delivered via digital interface.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under separate agreements, TMP is providing each city government with a fleet of five (5) brand-new and airconditioned Toyota Lite Ace units that will run on flexible routes within city boundaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The TCS is set to provide free rides for a year starting December 1, 2023 in Santa Rosa City and December 2, 2023 in Pasay City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTMP is offering the TCS as part of the Company\u2019s corporate social responsibility and in commemoration of TMP\u2019s 35<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;anniversary. Through TCS, TMP aims to contribute to improving the quality of life in these communities by providing free, easier, smarter and safer mobility,\u201d TMP president Atsuhiro Okamoto said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The booking service for TCS will be delivered through the \u2018myToyota Shuttle PH\u2019 application \u2014 one of the flagship mobility solutions of TMP\u2019s mobility service arm, Toyota Mobility Solutions Philippines, Inc. (TMSPH).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The \u2018myTOYOTA Shuttle PH\u2019 allows an efficient on-demand shuttle management that optimizes route planning and seat booking. Through a downloadable mobile application, commuters can easily book their rides using a personal device, monitor the real-time location, and check the arrival time of the TCS unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe want to create positive social value in our beneficiary communities through the provision of free mobility. But the TCS is not only helpful in creating a hassle-free ride experience for commuters. It also complements the current efforts of our project beneficiaries towards becoming a smart city and \u201csustainable eco-city\u2019 through increased connectivity and mobility, among others,\u201d Okamoto added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Santa Rosa City is identified as a \u201cNext Wave City\u201d and has strong initiatives to transform into a \u201cHigh-level Smart City\u201d. Pasay City, also known as the \u201cTravel City\u201d is leading initiatives to transform into a \u201cSustainable Eco City\u201d. Both cities are embracing innovation and digitalization to improve the quality of life in their communities in all areas including transportation.
