There\u2019s this (false) assumption that the older you get, the less tech-savvy you become. Which is why it\u2019s surprising for me to note that realme 11, realme\u2019s latest offering slated to be launched this November, particularly eyes to appeal to the Millennial and Gen Z crowds, supposedly particularly because they can use the same for their schooling and for other entertainment purposes, or while engaging in casual to mid-competitive gaming. But I say surprising because \u2013 out of the box (OOTB) \u2013 the features that realme 11 offer could actually benefit everyone looking for a somewhat affordable phone with select flagship level features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CLOSER LOOK<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With a 6.4\u201d AMOLED screen size, realme 11 is \u2013 for someone with wide(r) hands \u2013 just right, size-wise; it\u2019s not too small I worried I\u2019d leave it somewhere, nor too big I can\u2019t do tasks using only one hand (a problem with my 6.7\u201d units). Only 7.95mm thick (or thin), this one\u2019s thin indeed; and since it only weighs 178g, it\u2019s light, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are two buttons on realme 11, located on the right side of the unit \u2013 i.e. the power button that also serves as the fingerprint sensor, and atop that, the volume rockers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the left side of the unit you\u2019d find the triple card slot \u2013 i.e. for two nano-SIM cards, and an extra slot for micro-SD Card support (up to 1TB expandable storage via micro-SD card). Careful with the pulling and pushing of the tray, by the way, as it\u2019s quite thin and it makes you fear you\u2019d break it (at least how I felt).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the bottom, you will find the USB Type-C charging port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and the (only) speaker grill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the front, located at the top left portion, is the front-facing 16MP selfie camera. Similar to realme 10, this off-center positioning requires getting used to. While recording for facial recognition, for instance, proper positioning was awkward at first (you end up recording only half your face).<\/p>\n\n\n

Turn the phone over, and at the back, you\u2019d see 108MP + 2MP cameras, encased in a circular cutout at the top left part of realme 11\u2019s back, unlike other realme models, such as the Realme Narzo 60 Pro, that has this at the center. This positioning makes realme more \u201ctraditional\u201d, in a way; though still looking classy and, yes, expensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

realme 11 comes in two shades of colors: Glory Gold and Dark Glory. The unit received was the latter, and \u2013 it must be noted \u2013 the material used did not smudge easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FYI: The unit comes pre-installed with a screen protector (which should already be normalized by all), with a jelly case protector tucked in that yellow envelope in the unit\u2019s box (this is actually too soft to my liking, though\u2026 hey, it\u2019s a freebie!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(BATTERY) POWER IN YOUR HANDS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Prior to making a more extensive review to check realme 11\u2019s full power, let it \u2013 at least \u2013 be known (and be emphasized) that this unit boasts 5000mAh battery capacity. With this much juice, realme 11 promises \u201cup to 673 hours of standby time, 52 hours of phone calls, 21 hours of video streaming, 42 hours of music streaming, and 15 hours of TikTok\u201d. While being used as a secondary phone, all I can remember was waiting for the unit\u2019s battery to go flat\u2026 and after three days, I was still around 50%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BTW, if you use realme\u2019s dedicated 67W SUPERVOOC charging solution (said to \u201chelp reduce unnecessary heating, or any circuit issues\u201d), you can charge the 5000mAh battery in only 45 minutes. Too bad that OOTB, you only get a 33W SUPERVOOC adapter.<\/p>\n\n\n

ALL FOR GAMING<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With that battery power paired with a dedicated gaming processor, the MediaTek Helio G99 (also used by more expensive flagship units), realme 11 becomes ideal for gaming (at least casually, or mid-competitive).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And note that realme 10 was already okay with gaming, coming with overall AnTuTu v9 score of 383,657, and yet realme 11 tops that with 418,452 (AnTuTu Benchmark v10.0.10-OB10).<\/p>\n\n\n
