The utility company\u2019s latest innovation is the Field MOuS (Field Monitoring User System), a customized SMART M2M (Machine to Machine)-enabled solution that generates real-time operational status and other essential data from Maynilad\u2019s extensive areas.<\/p>\n

The data that the system provides include water pressure along the line, flows, reservoir levels, and plant production.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a water treatment plant which is connected online, and it generates an accurate hourly production snapshot,\u201d shared Maynilad CIO Francisco Castillo.\u00a0 Maynilad\u2019s monitoring and response capabilities have been reduced to milliseconds — a far cry, Castillo said, from the usual day-long process.<\/p>\n

The availability of live technical field data translates to faster response times for any eventuality along Maynilad\u2019s lines, as well as enhanced customer service.\u00a0 More importantly, it can help Maynilad significantly decrease system loss and pilferage.<\/p>\n
