It is&nbsp;also less than a kilometer from Upson\u2019s existing warehouse, adding to the company\u2019s sites in Manila,&nbsp;Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAchieving our long-term strategy requires investment in supply chain capacity and infrastructure to improve our overall performance and maintain our leadership in the industry\u201d said Upson CEO Arlene Sy. \u201cThe strategic location of this warehouse gives us proximity advantages. Being near our customers and suppliers drives competitiveness and sustainability by enabling delivery speed, optimizing costs, and reducing road transport and its associated emissions. Its short distance to our other warehouse and headquarters&nbsp;can also boost efficiency and productivity in operations.\u201d &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The six-story building has a total floor area of 7,047 square meters, with four floors for warehouse use and two floors for loading and unloading, and parking. The construction began in September 2021 and is 83% complete as of August 15, 2023. It is scheduled for completion in December 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As previously announced, the company plans to invest in new warehouses in relation to its nationwide store network expansion.
