Donuts Inc., the world’s largest registry for gTLDs, continues its growth of the Internet’s global addressing system this month by making 17 new gTLDs available to the general public, and an additional 12 available for early registration by trademark holders.

Now entering the seventh month of its new gTLD general availability schedule, Donuts will continue rolling out new domains on a weekly basis throughout 2014. With this month’s launches, Donuts will have 139 new gTLDs under management. Registrations are available from accredited registrars worldwide.

Donuts and a number of other providers of new domain names have sold more than 1.3 million new Internet identities since the program formally launched in general availability last January.

“There is no better testament to the great, global demand for this program than the uptake it has enjoyed among consumers,” Donuts co-founder and CEO Paul Stahura said. “Consumers are showing an early preference for these new domains, since the names tell you more about the website you’re planning to visit, and they’re easier to remember. Perhaps the thing people like best is that these new domains are more like natural language. And that’s the way technology is headed.”

Stahura has particularly strong expectations for .SERVICES, a Donuts gTLD that entered Donuts’ Early Access Program on July 2 and will be available at normal pricing July 9. “The little talked about .SERVICES gTLD has the potential to have wide appeal in a service economy,” he said. “Interested registrants should contact their registrars now so they don’t miss the valuable names in this gTLD. There is only one day left before its debut at regular pricing.”

The new gTLDs available in July are being made available according to this schedule:

Sunrise availability to trademark holders:

As of July 1:
.DIGITAL, .ACCOUNTANTS, .FINANCE, .INSURE

July 8:
.LOANS, .LIFE, .GUIDE, .CHURCH

July 15:
.DIRECT, .PLACE

July 22:
.DEALS

July 29:
.CITY

General availability to any registrant

July 2:
.SERVICES

July 9:
.CAPITAL, .ENGINEERING, .EXCHANGE, .GRIPE

July 16:
.ASSOCIATES, .LEASE, .MEDIA, .PICTURES

July 23:
.REISEN (German for “travel”), .TOYS, .UNIVERSITY, .TOWN

July 30:
.WTF, .FAIL, .FINANCIAL, .LIMITED

The Internet continues to rapidly expand with 29 new generic top-level domains (gTLDs) becoming available in July.
