{"id":55743,"date":"2023-05-09T11:37:39","date_gmt":"2023-05-09T03:37:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/?p=55743"},"modified":"2023-05-09T11:37:42","modified_gmt":"2023-05-09T03:37:42","slug":"kaspersky-appoints-new-apac-managing-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/2023\/05\/09\/kaspersky-appoints-new-apac-managing-director\/","title":{"rendered":"Kaspersky appoints new APAC Managing Director"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Kaspersky, a leading cybersecurity and digital privacy company, announced the appointment of IT veteran Adrian Hia as its new Managing Director for Asia Pacific (APAC).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hia is set to lead Kaspersky\u2019s drive to extend its market footprint, channel reach, and new business growth in key territories in the region, especially in the company\u2019s fast-growing enterprise cybersecurity segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taking his extensive knowledge in pan-Asian IT markets, his role also includes spearheading and managing the region\u2019s sales, marketing, and channel go-to-market strategy and execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAdrian brings over two decades of experience in international companies and the local IT industry in APAC, where he successfully grew businesses, achieving outstanding results. We trust that his in depth knowledge of both Asia-Pacific&nbsp;developed and emerging economies will help Kaspersky boost its business in the region, which is one of strategically important markets for the company. In his new role, Adrian will help Kaspersky&nbsp;identify new business opportunities and accelerate the B2B business momentum with a focus on the enterprise segment,\u201d says Kirill Astrakhan, Executive Vice President for Corporate Business at Kaspersky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prior to joining Kaspersky, Hia was the Senior Regional VP for ASEAN &amp; Greater China Region at Zscaler. His seasoned experience in the IT industry also includes regional sales and channel stints in VMWare, Oracle, and Sun Microsystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Commenting on his appointment, Hia said: \u201cI am an advocate of digital transformation and of harnessing the power of new technologies to enable business growth.
