Kaspersky Safe Kids has been recognized by AV-TEST for providing all the features necessary to protect kids across all their devices regardless of the operating system. Achieving an unprecedented APPROVED Parental Control Software certificate for the seventh time in a row, Kaspersky Safe Kids blocked an overall average of 92 percent of potentially inappropriate websites tested in Windows, and 87 percent in Android. Additionally, Safe Kids blocked almost all undesirable \u201cadult content\u201d in Windows.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With children using<\/a> digital devices from a very early age (around five to nine years old) and gaining access to the internet, to keep their children\u2019s online experience safe and secure, parents are more than ever turning to parental control apps. These applications help protect kids from inappropriate content on the web, regulate the time spent on devices, and even reveal the child\u2019s physical location  if their gadget has a tracking app installed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kaspersky Safe Kids features a high level of website protection \u2013 highlighted in the report \u2013 and delivers strengthened results for Windows \u2013 92 percent (90%<\/a> in 2021) and Android \u2013 87 percent (85%<\/a> in 2021) for 13 categories in six languages. In testing, the software achieved its best result when blocking almost 100 percent of inappropriate \u201cadult content\u201d for Windows. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lab tests also revealed the over-blocking detection rate significantly decreased in 2022 \u2013 down to 5.6 percent for Windows (6.7%<\/a> in 2021) and 4.8 percent for Android (6%<\/a> in 2021). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Kaspersky Safe Kids managed to block more than 93 percent of tested webpages in Windows and Android in such categories as \u201calcohol, tobacco, drugs\u201d, \u201cvideo games\u201d and \u201cweapons, explosives, pyrotechnics\u201d\u2013 everything related to weapons from sales over depiction to construction and their display. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

AV-TEST has also recognized Kaspersky Safe Kids for its wide range of available features for monitoring and control. In particular, one tester highlighted \u201csearch monitoring engine\u201d and \u201climiting screen time\u201d features. App blocking capabilities on Windows and Android devices by category and iOS by appropriate age as set in the app store is also noted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
