The businessman is the first client of Hotel Near Me, the app developed by Destinia.com to search for and reserve a hotel. Loges booked a room at the Holiday Inn in Woodbridge (Virginia) for US$142.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI needed to reserve a hotel nearby for some investors coming to visit me, and I was surprised how easy it was, literally in the blink of an eye,\u201d said Loges, founder of the financing company One Degree Capital and confessed geek.<\/p>\n<p>Hotel Near Me is the first application in the world for booking hotels through Google Glass. The user can navigate through other nearby hotels by swiping the Glass, and filter them according to price.<\/p>\n<p>By tapping on the Glass, the user can see more information about the hotel, such as photos, services offered by the hotel and its exact location. It is also possible to use voice commands instead of gestures and to visualize the location of the hotel with augmented reality. Once the user has chosen an accommodation, they can use the Google Glass to make the reservation with Destinia.com. The app can even provide directions to the hotel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWearable technology is going to revolutionize tourism in ways that we can only dream of today,\u201d said Amuda Goueli, CEO of Destinia.com.
