The \u2018CEO of Tomorrow\u2019&nbsp;implored businesses to step into the Metaverse&nbsp;and&nbsp;the layers that would hold the most opportunity for their business&nbsp;which he&nbsp;categorized in Interfaces, Interactions, and Infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThink of the Metaverse as a massively scaled, decentralized, blockchain-enabled computer. This network makes possible not only entirely new kinds of hybrid digital experiences, but more importantly, the creation of entirely new business models, new value delivery platforms and new ways of working,\u201d explains Walsh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through Interface, businesses&nbsp;need&nbsp;to re-imagine their&nbsp;delivery of&nbsp;customer experience such as how a real concert was organized through popular online game Fortnite.&nbsp;Partnerships were also means&nbsp;to accelerate delving into the Metaverse the way US companies have partnered with online global platform Roblox and virtual universe creator platform Zepeto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, Walsh suggests businesses to make digital versions of their products, citing the popularity of NFTs which big sports companies such as Nike and Adidas have already made millions from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under Interactions, he reminds companies the need to build communities and not just campaigns&nbsp;which successful brands have done, \u201cwhat they&#8217;ve done well is build an active community on platforms like&nbsp;Discord, or other messaging&nbsp;platforms&nbsp;where they&#8217;re not just trying to recruit&nbsp;or&nbsp;sell&nbsp;their products,&nbsp;they&#8217;re making their customers evangelists.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Infrastructure, he&nbsp;advised&nbsp;leaders to design for de-centralization and take a bottom up approach,&nbsp;the way AI tech company NVIDIA granted free licenses for its Omniverse software to artists and other creatives, who help build virtual worlds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe enterprise metaverse will integrate a wide range of emerging technologies and radical organizational design ideas to challenge how we work, from manufacturing to collaboration to strategic decision-making,\u201d explains Walsh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He reminded&nbsp;the audience that the Metaverse&nbsp;needs&nbsp;new leadership capabilities&nbsp;and&nbsp;skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PLDT&nbsp;has been powering up ACC since 2004&nbsp;which&nbsp;has attracted decision-makers as delegates from over 400 companies from 60+ countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PLDT\u00a0has been powering up ACC since 2004\u00a0which\u00a0has attracted decision-makers as delegates from over 400 companies from 60+ countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":6,"featured_media":51773,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[19],"tags":[379,96,2727,1656],"class_list":["post-51772","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-headlines","tag-pldt","tag-technology","tag-technology-adaption","tag-technology-investment"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/51772","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/6"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=51772"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/51772\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/51773"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=51772"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=51772"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=51772"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
