The much-anticipated successor of LG Electronics’ \u201cKing of Android\u201d G2, the LG G3, will be available in the Philippines in the coming months.<\/p>\n

With a pixel density of 538ppi, the G3\u2019s Quad HD display sets new viewing standards, producing images that are sharper and clearer than traditional smartphone displays. At 5.5-inches, LG G3 boasts a screen ratio of 76.4 percent with thin bezels all around to maximize its eye-candy display.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe high resolution display on the G3 also required LG engineers to pair it with battery technology that was just as innovative,\u201d said Sung Woo Nam, LG Electronics Philippines managing director. \u201cLG equipped the G3 with a 3,000mAh removable battery and advanced optimization technologies to further maximize battery efficiency and lifespan. This way, the battery can keep up with the Quad HD display\u2019s ultra-high performance without losing steam in the middle of the day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aside from the display, G3 boasts of having an advanced 13MP OIS+ camera, designed to quickly and easily capture life\u2019s simple moments. With LG\u2019s innovative world\u2019s first Laser Auto Focus technology for smartphones, the G3 can capture the best and most vivid moments\u2014even in low light\u2014by measuring the distance between the subject and the camera using a laser beam.<\/p>\n

Combined with the OIS+ technology first seen in the G Pro 2, the G3 is made to impress discerning shutterbugs.

\nam said, \u201cLG also simplified the actual process of taking photos. Rather than having to focus on the subject in preview mode and then pressing the shutter button, with the G3, tapping the subject to focus will simultaneously also trigger the shutter. What\u2019s more, the G3\u2019s 2.1MP front camera incorporates several new enhancements such as a larger image sensor and larger aperture for more light throughput and better-looking selfies,\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cA unique twist has been added to the standard timed selfie mode by incorporating gesture control. When ready to shoot, one can simply clench his hand into a fist and the G3 will recognize the gesture and begin the automatic three-second countdown. It couldn\u2019t get any simpler than that.\u201d<\/p>\n

For video, the G3 offers superior sound quality with instinctive microphones that measure the environment to identify the optimal audio level for the clearest recording. The built-in 1W speaker with Boost AMP also enables users to enjoy videos and music accompanied by richer sounds and clearer tones.<\/p>\n

Balanced and simplified design language
\nThe G3 sports a Floating Arc design with its ergonomic arch and slim side profile providing an extremely comfortable grip for everyday one-handed use. LG\u2019s trademark and well-received Rear Key is still making an appearance with G3, donning a newly-designed power key and volume button polished with more premium materials and finish.<\/p>\n

Aside from refining the sophisticated technical features lined in a singular layout located at the rear, G3\u2019s stylish metallic skin with matte finish keeps the phone looking clean and fingerprint-free.<\/p>\n

G3 will be offered in five vibrant colors: Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Moon Violet and Burgundy Red.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo complement the new external design, LG adopted a minimalistic user interface design with flat graphics. The circular motif of the graphic assets in the new UI was derived from the shape and concept of LG\u2019s logo, reflecting its unique visual style and identity,\u201d said Nam.<\/p>\n

In addition to the advanced core technologies, LG took its \u2018Learning from You\u2019 approach to a higher level with new smarter UX features to offer G3 users a unique experience unlike any previous LG smartphone including:<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Smart Notice: Like a personal assistant, Smart Notice provides suggestions and recommendations based on user behavior, phone usage patterns and location to offer user information when it\u2019s needed the most.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Smart Security: LG G3 offers a number of enhanced security features such as the Knock Code which enables users to wake and unlock their device at the same time just by \u201cknocking;\u201d the Content Lock which keeps personal files safe and hidden from view when sharing the G3 with others; and the Kill Switch which gives the owners the ability to disable their phones remotely in case of theft.<\/p>\n

Aside from sporting a removable battery, G3 now also has a 16\/32 GB internal storage, expandable via microSD of up to 128 GB. This would entail more memory and storage, and a more seamless smartphone performance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
