PLDT ALPHA Enterprise, the leading telecoms service provider\u2019s corporate business group, is increasing its support of the highly prestigious Asia CEO Awards as it becomes the title sponsor for this year\u2019s event, which features the theme \u2018Emerging Asia\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The announcement was made during the official media launch of Asia CEO Awards 2014 held at the Raffles and Fairmont Hotel in Makati.<\/p>\n

Attended by top executives from PLDT as well as from other sponsors including SPi Global, Smart Communications, SHORE Solutions, Oracle,
\nNEC, Meralco, KPMG, King’s School Manila, Jones Lang LaSalle, and FirstCarbon Solutions, the launch signaled the opening of the nomination period for the much-coveted accolades.<\/p>\n

The Asia CEO Awards gives recognition to the most extraordinary leaders who have made exemplary contributions to their organizations and the Philippines business community, and further elevated the country\u2019s position as a premier business destination.\u00a0 One of the biggest and most anticipated events of its kind in the Asia Pacific region, the Awards is an offshoot of the Asia CEO Forum — the largest regular networking event for the business community in Philippines.<\/p>\n

The Asia CEO Awards has 10 categories celebrating outstanding achievements by top business leaders: Oracle Technology Company of the Year; CSR Company of the Year; SPi Global Young Leader of the Year; SHORE Solutions Most Innovative Company; NEC Quality Company; Jones Lang LaSalle Expatriate Executive of the Year; Smart Communications Global Filipino Executive; Meralco Top Employer Organization; KPMG Executive Leadership Team; and the PLDT ALPHA Enterprise Lifetime Contributor Award.\u00a0 This year, the awards also feature two new categories: the Hospitality Award and First Carbon Solutions Green Company of the Year.<\/p>\n

The winners of the Awards will be selected by the Board of Judges led by its chairman Richard Mills.\u00a0 The judging panel is comprised of the leading names in business and academe including renowned economist Dr. Bernie Villegas; Don Felbaum, former president of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines; Edward Chang, president of the Korean Chamber of Commerce Philippines; Oscar Sanez, San Miguel Vice President for International; Architect Jun Palafox, former president of the Management Association of the Philippines; and Nobuo Fujii, Vice President of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Philippines.<\/p>\n
