{"id":49306,"date":"2022-05-16T08:19:42","date_gmt":"2022-05-16T00:19:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/?p=49306"},"modified":"2022-05-16T08:19:45","modified_gmt":"2022-05-16T00:19:45","slug":"globe-is-most-consistent-network-in-q1-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/2022\/05\/16\/globe-is-most-consistent-network-in-q1-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Globe is most consistent network in Q1 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Globe, the country\u2019s leading digital solutions platform, was rated the most consistent mobile operator in the Philippines in the \ufb01rst quarter of the year based on \ufb01gures from two international analytics \ufb01rms.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In reports by Ookla and Opensignal, Globe emerged as the top Philippine mobile operator in terms of consistency rating in Q1 2022, becoming the best telco in terms of giving customers a better user experience across various applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on Ookla Speedtest Intelligence data, Globe logged a nationwide consistency score of 79.45 from January to March 2022, an increase from 70.43 in the same period last year. This is also a rise from 79.02 registered in Q4 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Southern Tagalog, including the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon, had the most improved consistency score among regions nationwide with 81.26, followed by Central Visayas with 73.95, and Bicol with 73.02.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ookla\u2019s mobile consistency score is determined by the number of tests taken that are above a certain speed threshold. The higher the \ufb01gures, the more likely for consumers to enjoy acceptable internet performance and quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Opensignal, meanwhile, recognized Globe for having the most consistent mobile quality in the Philippines, besting peers in the Excellent and Core Consistent Quality categories of the Opensignal Mobile Experience Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The independent global standard cited Globe with the Excellent Consistent Quality award in its\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opensignal.com\/reports\/2022\/04\/philippines\/mobile-network-experience\" target=\"_blank\">April 2022 Mobile Network Experience Report for the Philippines<\/a>, which used data from January 1 to March 31, 2022. Globe got a rating of 51.6 percent, 7.8 percentage points above the nearest competitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Globe was also No. 1 in Core Consistent Quality with 74.6 percent, besting the nearest contender by 12.8 percentage points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGlobe is the outright winner of the Excellent Consistent Quality award, as the highest proportion of users\u2019 tests met the minimum recommended performance thresholds to watch HD video, complete group video conference calls, and play games on its network,\u201d Opensignal said in the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur measures of consistent quality quantify how often users\u2019 experience on a network was suf\ufb01cient to support common applications\u2019 requirements,\u201d Opensignal said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Opensignal\u2019s Excellent Consistent Quality measures the \u201cpercentage of users\u2019 tests that met the minimum recommended performance thresholds to watch HD video, complete group video, conference calls, and play games.\u201d Core Consistent Quality, meanwhile, is \u201cthe percentage of users\u2019 tests that met the minimum recommended performance thresholds for lower performance applications including SD video, voice calls and web browsing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Globe\u2019s outstanding ratings in Q1 and constantly improving customer experience re\ufb02ect gains in its relentless network boost, in line with its commitment to innovation to drive economic growth under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are seeing the fruits of our non-stop builds to further improve our network so we can give our customers the best mobile experience. We will never waver in our efforts to fortify our infrastructure towards the digital enablement of more Filipinos across the country,\u201d said Ernest Cu, Globe President and CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Globe invested an unprecedented P92.8 billion in CAPEX in 2021 in response to heightened demand for connectivity.
