{"id":49190,"date":"2022-05-09T08:57:48","date_gmt":"2022-05-09T00:57:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/?p=49190"},"modified":"2022-05-09T08:57:51","modified_gmt":"2022-05-09T00:57:51","slug":"globe-joins-opensignals-global-rising-stars-for-3rd-straight-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/2022\/05\/09\/globe-joins-opensignals-global-rising-stars-for-3rd-straight-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Globe joins Opensignal\u2019s \u2018Global Rising Stars\u2019 for 3rd straight year"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Globe was recognized by independent mobile analytics firm Opensignal as a Global Rising Star for the third consecutive year in its 2022\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.opensignal.com\/reports\/2022\/02\/global-state-of-the-mobile-network-experience-awards\">Global Mobile Network Experience Awards<\/a> report.\u00a0 It excelled in five categories: 4G Availability,\u00a0 Video Experience, Voice App Experience, Download Speed Experience, and Upload Speed Experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Globe joined the top 30 operators worldwide, which were bestowed the Opensignal 2022 Global Rising Star status for having \u201cmade rapid progress in improving the experience of their users in a short period of time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Between the second half of 2020 and the same period in 2021, Globe posted a 6.6% improvement in 4G Availability against the global average of 0.7%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Globe\u2019s Video Experience results jumped by 17.4%, way over the global average of 3.5%. It also registered an 8.6% hike in Voice App Experience, better than the 1% global mean score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Likewise, the company increased its Download and Upload Speed Experience ratings by 51.3% and 36.5%, respectively, compared to the worldwide average of 28% for download and 20.9% for upload.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe continue to deliver on our promise of having a #1stWorldNetwork.&nbsp; Even as the country&#8217;s ranking based on internet speed has improved significantly, we shall continue to focus on the overall quality of experience using our network.
