The 40G bandwidth expansion, with the potential to expand to 100G capacity, enables approximately 160,000 contact center seats, or 41 million point of sale (POS) transactions, or 5.1 million ATM transactions.

The PLDT DFON is configured into seven major loops and four subtending loops with default ring configurations that provide route protection in case of any breaks within the loops, boasting an operating capacity of 4.78 tbps and 78,000 kilometers of submarine and in-land fiber optic cable. The network serves as the consolidated transport backbone of the PLDT Group. Global-class connectivity solutions such as Carrier Ethernet Services, IP VPN, Premium Internet, and Long Term Evolution (LTE) services are securely and reliably delivered over this network. This givescustomers access to high-quality voice, data, and multimedia services.

With this launch, Palawan’s business community now has access to PLDT’s enterprise solutions such as cloud services, data center virtualization, video, and collaboration. This gives them a significant edge in today’s fast-paced marketplace, enabling them with flexible, secured, scalable services with guaranteed uptime.

“It is these benefits of strength, flexibility and expandability that spells the significant difference of PLDT’s considerable ICT infrastructure commitment to Palawan.
