Customers across the province of Batangas are enjoying improved connectivity and enhanced offers as Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) continues to expand its network and services across the country.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To date, Smart has fired up 5G base stations in 80% of Batangas\u2019 towns, including the cities of Lipa, Santo Tomas and Tanauan, and the provincial capital Batangas City. Smart LTE is also present across the province, providing high speed mobile data to customers using LTE handsets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among those now benefiting from this improved network is Michelle Groover, a business owner from Lipa City who recently switched to Smart in order to experience better signal in their area. \u201cI also wanted [to enjoy] the new promos of Smart,\u201d added Groover, who made the switch at the Smart Store in SM Lipa. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like Groover, Rowell Deliso of Batangas City likewise switched to Smart upon hearing that Mobile Number Portability (MNP) was already available. \u201cI heard that Smart was providing the strongest signal in my area. That\u2019s why I took advantage of MNP, because I really need to keep my number for my work,\u201d said Deliso, who made the switch at the Smart Store in SM Batangas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With MNP, interested subscribers can now move to Smart while keeping their existing mobile numbers, maintaining and keeping intact their contact list and other information stored in their SIM cards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSmart has better coverage at my place, good customer service, faster data and good promos,\u201d said Rhex dela Cruz, who also recently switched to Smart via the Smart Store in SM Lipa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Switching to Smart also opens up access to exclusive content, such as free Apple music for 6 months and free access via the GigaPlay App to NBA TV, American Music Awards, and K-Contact, enabling subscribers to watch their favorite artists and athletes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With around 6,400 5G base stations nationwide, Smart operates the country’s widest 5G network in the Philippines. It has also been named as the fastest* and most reliable 5G Mobile Network by Ookla**. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smart’s mobile network is supported by PLDT’s fiber infrastructure, the country’s most extensive at about 615,000 kilometers nationwide as of end-September. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To switch to Smart, users must first secure a Unique Subscriber Code from their originating provider to serve as clearance, and present this, along with a valid ID and any proof of mobile ownership, at the nearest Smart Store so that Smart can process their application for free.
