Microsoft recently released their\u00a0earnings report for quarter three, revealing that their profits for Xbox content and services have increased a whopping\u00a034%\u00a0this quarter. Despite this, they claim to have\u00a0never made a profit\u00a0from\u00a0selling the consoles themselves, meaning most of this profit is made from the sales of games. This led\u00a0ManySpins.com\u00a0to investigate exactly how satisfied gamers are with the games they purchase from Xbox.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using a list of the 20\u00a0best-selling Xbox One games, they used\u00a0Metacritic\u2019s user score to find out exactly what players thought of the games they had purchased. Metacritic\u2019s user scores range from 0-10, with higher scores indicating better reviews from the gaming community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ManySpins.com<\/a>\u00a0can reveal the game with the most copies potentially wasted is\u00a0PlayerUnknown\u2019s Battlegrounds<\/em>. The game has sold a total of 8 million copies so far, but with only\u00a049%\u00a0of players happy with their purchase, around\u00a04 million copies\u00a0have been wasted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Call of Duty\u00a0<\/em>games claim spots 2 to 5 of the most wasted games, with a grand total of nearly\u00a013 million copies\u00a0wasted between the four games. COD is known for being expensive as part of Xbox\u2019s triple A games, and as there are now\u00a024 COD games, it is easy to see how Microsoft could be more focussed on profits rather than quality gaming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coming sixth is\u00a0Star Wars Battlefront<\/em>, and with just\u00a045% of players happy with the game that means an estimated\u00a02.2 million copies\u00a0went to waste. Eighth is\u00a0Grand Theft Auto V<\/em>\u00a0with approximately\u00a01.8 million copies\u00a0wasted, followed by\u00a0FIFA 17<\/em>\u00a0in ninth (estimated\u00a01.7 million copies\u00a0wasted).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rounding up the top 10 most disappointing Xbox One games is\u00a0Halo 5: Guardians<\/em>. Selling a grand total of 4.9 million copies and with a score of\u00a064%, around\u00a01.7 million copies\u00a0of this game were potentially wasted on unhappy customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kevin Roos, expert from\u00a0ManySpins.com\u00a0said: \u201cMany of Xbox\u2019s games are \u00a350-60 on release, so despite making a loss on the consoles, Microsoft generates a lot of income through the sales of games and gaming passes.
