Robinsons Retail Holdings, Inc. (RRHI), one of the largest multi-format retailers in the Philippines, has embarked on a modernization effort to further improve its business process in support of its regional growth strategy and enhance overall profitability.<\/strong><\/p>\n

RRHI has more than 1,000 retail outlets. It operates a diverse portfolio including supermarkets, department stores, pharmacy, convenience stores, Do-it-Yourself (DIY) stores and specialty stores.<\/p>\n

As part of the upgrade, RRHI has enhanced its investment in a merchandising management system developed by JDA Software Group, Inc.<\/p>\n

The JDA Merchandise Management System leverages advanced pricing methods, integrated financial and warehousing capabilities and customer order management functionality to increase revenue. The merchandising solution enables organizations to proactively implement pricing based on rules such as margin, competitive prices, vendor incentives, and chain\/zone\/store overrides. It then automatically generates suggested changes, so financial effects can be evaluated prior to implementing planned price events.<\/p>\n

As the various subsidiaries of RRHI continue to transform and modernize their core systems, the JDA Merchandise Management System will be rolled out to its convenience stores initially, followed by other formats in the next 18-24 months as they continue progressing through their retail maturity curve. The JDA Merchandise Management System upgrade will also provide RRHI subsidiaries the opportunity to use improved functions available in this latest version for merchandise handling, as it continues to serve as one of the foundational layers driving the retailer\u2019s modernization efforts.<\/p>\n
