Residents of Quezon City are now receiving financial assistance directly to their PayMaya accounts as part of the local government’s \u201cKalingang QC\u201d social amelioration program which aims to help individuals and families in need to cope with the COVID-19 crisis.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualified citizen beneficiaries who registered through the QC E-Services portal (http:\/\/qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph\/<\/a>) were able to receive their P2,000 in financial aid straight to their PayMaya accounts in a safe and timely manner, in keeping with current health and safety measures to prevent the further spread of the virus causing the COVID-19 disease. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beneficiaries under the Kalingang QC program include senior citizens; drivers of tricycles, pedicabs, jeepneys, taxis, AUVs, and TNVS; Persons with Disabilities (PWDs); solo parents; nursing mothers; owners of market stalls that were closed down; and street vendors, among others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By using digital means to distribute the aid via PayMaya, the Quezon City government has made it safe and convenient for citizen beneficiaries to receive the funds at the comfort of their homes. They can use the funds that they received to buy groceries online, purchase airtime load and data packages, send money to their relatives anywhere in the country, transfer to any of the more than 40 InstaPay bank partners or withdraw from any Bancnet ATM using a PayMaya physical card. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cashing out the funds the beneficiaries have received in their PayMaya accounts is also more convenient as the beneficiaries can simply go to any one of the over 30,000 Smart Padala agents near them.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PayMaya has been leading the charge in enabling Filipinos to quickly and conveniently accept financial aid from national government agencies and local government units as the entire country grapples with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. On top of Quezon City, PayMaya has been the platform of choice to disburse financial aid to citizen beneficiaries of Manila, Mandaluyong, Caloocan, and Pasig City, among others.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has also partnered with the Social Security System (SSS) for its Small Business Wage Subsidy (SBWS) program as well as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for disbursements under its Assistance to Individuals in Conflict Situations (AICS) program. Meanwhile, beneficiaries of the DSWD’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP) can also opt to choose PayMaya as cash out option in the Relief Agad mobile app. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from this, PayMaya has previously worked with government agencies such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), PAG-IBIG Fund, SSS, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Bureau of Customs (BOC), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), among others, to enable them to accept cashless payments via card and e-wallets through their respective online portals, making it easier for Filipinos to transact with the government and for these agencies to deliver better service to the public. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
