Now more than ever, we need supply chains that are resilient.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For instance, in the Philippines, despite responding decisively to contain the pandemic and help marginalized sectors,\u00a0supply chains\u00a0were\u00a0still\u00a0impacted. According to the\u00a0United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the disruption in world trade could mean a $50-billion decline in overall global exports, which may have trade impacts that can affect the Philippines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSAP was founded nearly 50 years ago with a clear purpose of helping the world run better and improve people\u2019s lives. Now more than ever, we are leading through our purpose of supporting businesses to respond to any situation and in this case, in an atmosphere of difficulty. SAP understands that disruption to supply chains are very real and we hope to shed light on how businesses in the Philippines can look into this area,\u201d said Edler Panlilio, Managing Director, SAP Philippines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SAP and Oxford Economics survey examined the practices of \u201cSupply Chain Leaders\u201d \u2013 those 12 percent of respondents with more resilient supply chains and higher levels of innovation, customer and employee satisfaction, and growth numbers in comparison to other respondents. While all supply chains are vulnerable to risks in a global economy, the research suggests organizations embrace the traits of industry leaders to be best set up for success, especially during times of disruption.
