Arcadier officially launched both a Developer Platform and a Plug-In Marketplace for its community of developers and users respectively. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Plug-In marketplace provides installable applications and integrations that users can easily add to their Arcadier-powered marketplace. The developer platform on the other hand provides a suite of developer tools and APIs which enable developers to execute exclusive customization projects for specific Arcadier-powered marketplaces or develop plug-ins for the Plug-In Marketplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the\nintroduction of the Plug-In Marketplace, Arcadier users can easily install additional\nfunctionalities of their choice to their marketplace, on top of those available\non Arcadier\u2019s native standard software capabilities. To start, 10 plug-ins are\ncurrently available on the Marketplace, including: (i) Marketplace Analytics\n& Reports Generator, (ii) MailChimp Export, (iii) Recommended Retail Price\nCreator, (iv) Coupons Generator, (v) Minimum Order Quantity, (vi) Web Page\nBuilder, (vii) Subscriptions & Memberships, (viii) Blog Page Builder, (ix)\nAdd Blog Post and (x) Profile Input Fields with more on the way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Utilization of\nplug-ins on the marketplace is optional, and each plug-in can be installed and\nuninstalled at any time. The creation of this newest capability was a\nuser-driven decision as Kenneth Low, Arcadier\u2019s Chief Commercial Officer,\nstated: \u201cWe often get very specific feature requests from our users, so that\nthey can further customize their marketplace experiences. Our Plug-In\nMarketplace is a flexible solution that will allow users to install specific\nfeatures or integrate other software to their marketplaces when desired,\nproviding a customizable experience.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another trend that\nArcadier has observed is the increase in request for unique marketplace\nexperiences. This would require customization of standard user interface or marketplace\nworkflows. Currently such projects have been allocated to a small community of\nArcadier accredited developers, but with the launch of the Developer Platform\nwhere resources are made readily available, including step-by-step articles,\ntechnical tutorial videos and full API documentation, the broader developer\ncommunity would now be able to start easily as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul Cascun, Chief\nTechnology Officer (CTO) of Arcadier, shared further about the reasons for the\nlaunch of both the Plug-In Marketplace and the Developer Platform: \u201cCurrently\nall new features and plug-ins have been created by Arcadier exclusively for our\nusers. There is a limit to the speed in which we can create new applications.\nIn the long term, we expect third-party developers to utilize our open\ndeveloper platform to create plug-in applications and perform customizations\nfor our users thereby generating an income for themselves from each\ncustomization project or installation of their created plug-in.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arcadier is\ncurrently inviting the broader developer community<\/a>, both freelance developers\nand development companies, to participate in building new applications for its\nuser community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
