(CMPI) supported the 2019 National Symposium on Project Management where professionals from all over the country gathered to share best practices as well as tackle the range of issues that different disciplines experience every day. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year\u2019s theme, <em>Building People, Developing Practice, Enabling Progress, <\/em>aimed to communicate the various initiatives enterprises are implementing to promote efficiency in the workplace with the\u00a0 goal of aiding the country\u2019s overall economic progress and development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAt Canon Philippines, we have several departments\nthat have their specific tasks and responsibilities. One thing they have in\ncommon is the need to archive, retrieve, and send data and information. Their\nrespective duties also come with distinct pain points. This is the reason that\nat a global standpoint, we continue to develop and innovate technology to\naddress each role\u2019s problem areas. \u2018Business\nCan Be Simple\u2019 has been a long-standing advocacy of Canon to tailor-fit\ndigital solutions that will improve overall productivity,\u201d shared CMPI president\nand CEO Kazuhiro Ozawa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The annual symposium is one of the gatherings of\nindustry experts organized by the Project Management Institute-Philippines\nChapter (PMI). Majority of this year\u2019s attendees come from the IT sector,\nconstruction, and finance industries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to PMI Philippines head of sponsorships John\nAlindogan, \u201corganizations rely on project managers to ensure delivery on time,\non budget, and on scope. In our personal and professional lives, we encounter a\nlot of documents and clutter. As we continue to modernize our systems, we\nensure to digitize and archive these files in a central repository that is\neasily accessible to everyone within the company,\u201d he said. Mr. Alindogan\nacknowledged that with the ever-changing landscape of how business is done in\nthe Philippines due to digitalization and new technologies, organizations\nincluding their own need to be open-minded, adaptive and innovative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A bevy of international speakers presented at the\nsymposium, such as National University of Singapore Professor, Alex Siow; ROGAN\nStrategic Advisory Managing Partner, Robert Gan; Founder and CEO of Inbound\nMarketing Agency in Mongolia, Khulan Batkhuyag; US-Certified Neuroscience Coach\nand Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Trainer, Ben Ampil; Business Agility Transformation\nCoach, Rose Chu; and the first and only certified KonMari consultant in the\nPhilippines, Christine Dychiao.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the line-up of speakers is Canon\u2019s Enterprise\nSolutions Manager Ni\u00f1o M. Ruiz, who shared how Canon business solutions equip\nproject managers with their proprietary digitization and data management\nsolutions to streamline work processes in their companies. During his talk,\nRuiz explained that any company or organization can benefit from Canon\u2019s\ntechnology, and the first ones who usually feel the welcome change are the\nproject managers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur document management system is very popular among\nproject managers because their tasks usually require a good deal of paperwork.\nWith the use of Canon\u2019s business solutions, they can easily digitize, archive\nand secure documents and quickly go back to the files for easy access,\u201d said\nMr. Ruiz. \u201cUltimately, Canon\u2019s business solutions make work easier, more\nefficient, and more streamlined regardless if one is a project manager or not.\nWe are also glad to know and share that the number of Filipino companies open\nto embracing our new technology is rapidly growing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Digitization cuts across various industries both small\nand big businesses can greatly benefit from.
