\u201cFuture-proofing children is the greatest concern of Filipino millennial parents,\u201d according to the HP New Asian Learning Experience Study, a survey which explores how the personalities of parents impact the ways in which they define learning for their children to ensure they have the right skills for their future success.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conducted\nfrom November to December 2018 to 3,177 parent-respondents aged between 25 and\n42 with at least one child across seven Southeast Asian countries including\nIndia, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines, the\nstudy provides insights on what is happening in the world of education and\nlearning and how are children being prepared for the future, as well as\ninsights that HP will be put into use to form new things that can be expected\nin the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe\nstudy gives us insights on how learning is evolving and where our innovation\ncan ensure these young learners thrive,\u201d said Pallasena V. Viswanath, managing\ndirector at HP Philippines. \u201cAt HP, we are aligned with the parental focus on\nreinventing learning to create a positive impact on their children.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart\nfrom ensuring their children to be future-ready, cost of living, job security\nand having the right skills for the future were also top concerns among\nFilipino millennial parents. The rising cost of living seems to be the biggest\nconcern of 75% of parents while 56% are worried about job security for their\nkids in the future market. This is the reason why parents are looking for ways\nfor their children to learn a wide range of skills. About 70% of Filipino\nparents, the highest among all markets covered, are willing to use a part of\ntheir family\u2019s income for extra classes or activities in order to give their\nchildren an advantage over their peers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asian\nmillennial parents want their children to be happy and feel fulfilled when they\ngrow. They wanted happiness, fulfillment and the best they can do with their\nchildren. Across all markets, 83% of parents rated happiness as the top\npriority. In the Philippines, 91% of parents rated happiness to be the highest\npriority for their children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filipino\nparents also rated character traits such as open mindedness, emotional\nstability, and intelligence as the most important for a child. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nstudy also noted that parents believe printed materials will impact their\nchild\u2019s learning more positively than purely digital learning, and perceive a\nmix of both print and digital as most beneficial. Parents feel that printed\nmaterials are better used for activities related to art (61%), math (60%), and\nmemorization (50%), whereas electronic materials better facilitate learning in\nmusic or auditory skills (60%) and art (57%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through\nits range of innovative printers and PCs, such as the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage\n3775 and the HP Pavilion x360, HP reinvents learning to ensure that students\nhave the right tools to develop their skills and help their practical,\ncreative, critical and inventive learning.   \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nfindings of the study or insights actually help them to come up with products\nin the future, according to Viswanath. He shared that the combination of\ndigital enablement in their PCs and the linking of that with their digital\nprinting capabilities is going to be enhanced further and they will create a\nway by which people can print with so much ease. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
