Rook Security provides a 24\/7 team of cyberthreat hunters and incident response experts who monitor, hunt for, analyze and respond to security incidents for businesses of all sizes. The privately-owned company was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Indianapolis, Ind. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sophos is creating re-sellable MDR\nservices by combining Rook Security\u2019s threat detection, investigation and\nresponse capabilities with its recently acquired <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sophos.com\/en-us\/press-office\/press-releases\/2019\/01\/sophos-acquires-darkbytes-as-foundation-of-new-mdr-services.aspx\">DarkBytes<\/a>\ntechnology platform. As a channel-first, channel-best security provider, Sophos\nwill deliver the new MDR services through its network of approximately 47,000\nchannel partners worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCybercriminals\nare relentlessly trying to exploit organizations with techniques ranging from\ntried-and-true phishing emails to the more recent trend of \u2018hacker pen-testing\u2019\nto find weaknesses in their surface area. As a result, businesses need 24\/7 monitoring\nand management of what is happening on their network, yet many of them do not\nhave the expertise, can\u2019t keep up or don\u2019t have the security teams in-house to optimally\nconfigure and manage security around-the-clock,\u201d said Joe Levy, chief technology\nofficer at Sophos. \u201cWith MDR, Sophos\u2019 channel partners will be able to provide\nbusinesses of all sizes with expert services that continuously detect, hunt for\nand respond to security incidents.\u201d<br>\n<br>\nIn addition, Sophos plans to align its synchronized security technology and\nproduct portfolio with Rook Security\u2019s 24\/7 services for MDR customers.
