{"id":34856,"date":"2019-04-11T17:36:32","date_gmt":"2019-04-11T09:36:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/?p=34856"},"modified":"2019-04-11T17:36:35","modified_gmt":"2019-04-11T09:36:35","slug":"alcatel-eyes-to-grow-by-30-in-phl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/2019\/04\/11\/alcatel-eyes-to-grow-by-30-in-phl\/","title":{"rendered":"Alcatel eyes to grow by 30% in Phl"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Alcatel Lucent Enterprise (ALE) is eyeing to grow by 30% in the Philippines as it is committed to put more investments to address and serve the needs of the local market.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Damien\nDelard, ALE\u2019s vice president for APAC Channels and Territory Sales, said they\nare putting massive investments in the Philippines in the form of more people,\nmore resources and increase in the number of systems integrators. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur\ntarget is to grow by 30% in the Philippines. We believe we can do it. In the\nlast three years, the Philippines has delivered a good growth. We see good\nmarket,\u201d said Delard, claiming the Philippines is one of the four key countries\nthey identified, along with China, India, and Indonesia, where they will put\nmassive investments in the Asia-Pacific region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kit\nAndal, country manager at ALE Philippines, noted that ALE is one of key\ntechnology providers in driving the country\u2019s digital transformation program.\nHe said performance-wise, \u201cwe have increased a lot in terms of coverage, in\nterms of partnerships and in terms of our strategic alliances. We also have a\nlot of engagements with the government especially with the DICT in order to\nestablish digital transformation that will help the government.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Globally,\nALE is focused on forming partnerships or collaborations with other technology\nproviders who can help serve its purpose and ensure the success of its\noperations. The company is collaborating with IBM, Nokia, and Dimension Data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IBM\nWatson integrates the Rainbow API Hub communication platform with Artificial\nIntelligence (AI) to deliver cognitive communication capabilities in the area\nof smart bots, advanced natural language interaction, and facial\/video pattern\nrecognition. This will leverage the service features and increase user\nsatisfaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ALE\nprovides networking switches combined with Campus Solutions (LAN) to complement\nWAN in Nokia Transportation Solutions; creates one single network management by\ncombining ALE Nodes with Nokia NMS, and integrates Nokia Nodes into Omni Vista.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ALE\nsupports Dimension Data world cycling tour and helps the team increase its\nperformance thru technology by providing the connectivity in 23 vehicles using\nAlcatel Omni Access Router 5725 A with antennas that allow the team to have\npowerful inside and outside vehicle with coverage. The capability to track and\nretrieve assets was built in all team buildings, race environment and vehicles\nby collaborating Rainbow Solution (UCaaS and CPaaS) with the OmniAccess Stellar\nwith its Location-Based Services (LBS) and IoT hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile,\nDelard said that it is also the goal of ALE to transfer its customers on\ntraditional telephony to the Rainbow platform within two years, to make it 100%\nsoftware on subscription basis.
