The dream of Grit XL will not happen without technology, and\nmost importantly, without connectivity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reyes noted how\nPLDT&#8217;s digital footprint in Rizal is \u201cvery critical\u201d in establishing a thriving\necosystem of businesses in the ICT-BPO industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For his part,\nfirst vice president and PLDT SME Nation head Mitch Locsin said the partnership\nis a reflection of both sides&#8217; commitment to enable clients and partners\nthrough technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere is\nnothing more important for MSMEs than to be present where their customers are.\nDeveloping next-wave cities such as Morong is aligned with our mission and that\nof Grit XL to prop up MSMEs and equip them with tools that will allow them to\nbring their businesses to all-new heights,\u201d Locsin said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur goal, in keeping\nwith the government&#8217;s direction of countryside development, is to make Grit XL\nthe innovation center that will help the people and the local government of\nMorong,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Locsin noted how\nthe proximity of Grit XL, the first BPO-grade establishment in Morong, to at\nleast 28 higher education institutions not only ensures an abundant supply of\ntalent for hiring but paves the way for work-near-home or satellite office\nprograms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reyes, whose\nhusband is from Morong, agrees: \u201cMorong has so many schools but there are not\ntoo many opportunities for our graduates. What we want is an ecosystem where\nour graduates will work here near their homes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe also want to\nengage the people because the entrepreneurship level in Morong is not high.
