{"id":34417,"date":"2019-02-15T15:31:29","date_gmt":"2019-02-15T07:31:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/?p=34417"},"modified":"2019-02-15T15:38:41","modified_gmt":"2019-02-15T07:38:41","slug":"prestone-phs-anak-ng-mekaniko-scholarship-program-bags-silver-anvil-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.upgrademag.com\/web\/2019\/02\/15\/prestone-phs-anak-ng-mekaniko-scholarship-program-bags-silver-anvil-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Prestone PH\u2019s Anak ng Mekaniko Scholarship program bags Silver Anvil Award"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Prestone Philippines bagged a silver award for its Anak ng Mekaniko Scholarship Program during at the 54th Anvil Awards.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Presented annually by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), the Anvil Awards is recognized as the premier award-giving body in the communications industry that symbolizes excellence in public relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prestone\u2019s Anak ng Mekaniko Scholarship program emerged as one of the recipients of the coveted award under the PR Programs Targeted at Specific Stakeholders category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In line with its 90th Anniversary, Prestone initiated the nationwide search aimed at choosing nine students, who deserve a chance at receiving a tertiary education through the Anak ng Mekaniko Scholarship program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPrestone designed this program to help local auto mechanics not just by providing them with top-of-the-line products to use for their livelihood, but more importantly, could ease the financial burden of sending their children to school,\u201d said Paolo Lao sales and marketing director of Clorox Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The program also shines a light on the fundamental human right to a good education regardless of one\u2019s age, gender or status. It puts into focus the lengths to which parents would go to give their children a better life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The scholarship program did not require the nine selected scholars to enroll in automotive technology or a similar vocational course.
