In a previous statement of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on Cybersecurity, the Philippine banking system considers cyberattacks as one of its biggest threats with the growing number of aggressive and malicious hackers\u00a0targeting Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSIs). With increasing concerns in security breaches in the biggest banking institutions locally, banks are advised to allocate resources to boost its cybersecurity infrastructure to ensure its clients of\u00a0secured transactions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Locally, the financial sector gears for this anticipated increase of cases and levels of aggressiveness of cybercrimes. As one of the fastest growing economies in the Asia Pacific Region, the Philippines is perceived to be one of the next hotspots for cyber terrorism. Due to these developments, local banks are highly encouraged to boost their technological systems and manpower expertise to ensure their clients and stakeholders the highest level of security and confidentiality in all of their transactions.<\/p>\n
