E-commerce platform Shopee has announced its official partnership with technology firm Xiaomi to launch the Xiaomi Official Store. The partnership provides the 11-million Shopee users in the Philippines direct access to a wide variety of Xiaomi products, including smartphones as well as ecosystem products.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To kickstart the collaboration, Shopee will be the exclusive channel for users to buy the Xiaomi Redmi 5 16GB smartphone at a promotional price of Php5,990, with 10% Shopee cashback through an exclusive flash sale on April 4. In addition, users who pre-register their interest from March 23 to 31 will receive a Php250 Xiaomi voucher that can be used to offset purchases of all accessories and ecosystem products on the Xiaomi Official Store. The Xiaomi voucher is available while stocks last.<\/p>\n

The Redmi 5 smartphone is powered by Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor. It comes with dual micro-SIM; a 5.7-inch full screen display with an 18:9 aspect ratio; and energized by a 3300 mAh battery. Its 12MP rear camera has a 1.25 micron pixel size and phase detection autofocus, while its 5MP front-facing camera has an LED selfie light.<\/p>\n

Jane Lim, Business Development Head at Shopee, welcomes the Shopee-Xiaomi collaboration as according to her, the two companies have great synergies and share same commonalities.<\/p>\n
